Experience the world of a professional government trapper as his daily helper, driving to and snowmobiling along the trap lines. Learn how to set various traps for Marten, Beaver, Wolf, Lynx, Fox and more. Learn how to prepare bait sets, identify tracks, and try your hand at skinning, boarding, drying and preparing the fur for market. Or just observe the daily workings of a professional trapper in the middle of Northern winters.

Of course, the routine will take in some ice fishing on secluded frozen lakes way back in along the trap line. Get ready for some exciting ice fishing action, backwoods trapping adventures and see Northern Ontario wildlife close up in their winter range.

At the end of your week, you are allowed to keep one fur pelt that was trapped during your stay and experience with Saul Outfitters.

GUESTS and CLIENTS are welcome to stay at the Trapper/Hunter Home in Matachewan with wood-stove, oil Furnace, den, satellite TV, bedrooms, washroom and hot showers are available. Kitchen facilities are provided where clients and guests can cook their own meals. Cell service is available
